Senior Pastor  
Lamar Courtney


Pastor Lamar grew up in Jackson, MS, where he was a bus ministry kid at First Church of the Nazarene. He was a youth pastor for over 14 years in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Florida. He has been our Senior Pastor since January 2015. He attended Trevecca Nazarene University where he met his wife, Brooke. They were married in 2003 and have two children and a third on the way. He graduated from Nazarene Bible Institute and was ordained in 2009. He loves Ole Miss football and is a sports enthusiast. He throws the knuckleball on the church softball team.

His wife, Brooke is a homemaker and licensed Zumba® Fitness Instructor. She grew up in San Diego, CA and graduated in 2009 from Southeastern University with a degree in Business and Professional Leadership.

Pastor Lamar and Brooke believe that life is meant for loving God and loving others, and they are committed to continuously learning what that really means.

 


Youth Pastor  Dale Mattox

 
Dale Mattox grew up in Vancleave, MS where he graduated from Vancleave High School in 2008. From there, he went to military training and is currently serving in the Mississippi Army National Guard. In January of 2009, Dale started pursuing and education at Trevecca Nazarene University and graduated in 2013. Pastor Dale held a youth pastor position in Greeley, CO, but now is serving at Gulf Coast Family since April of 2017. 

Pastor Dale loves to practice jiu jitsu, play music, hike with his dog, and create art. 

He knows well the struggles that youth face and wants to live a life that encourages them to do good work and do it well. 
 





















Children's Ministry Director  Bonnie Collins


Bonnie has been an leader in children's ministries for many years. She has taught Sunday School classes for all ages, directed Wednesday Night services, and served as coordinator for Vacation Bible Schools. Bonnie was raised in a Christian home in Genoa, Arkansas and spent two decades serving our country as an Air Force wife. She has served in multiple denominations including the Church of Christ, Methodist and the Church of the Nazarene. 


Bonnie and her husband, Jeff, have four daughters; Hali, Courtney, Selena and Taylor. Courtney, Selena and Taylor have also served as assistants, teachers, nursery workers, and craft directors in multiple children's programs. Hali currently lives in Hot Springs, Arkansas and is the mother of Jeff and Bonnie's grandchildren; Indica, Allison and Emma.













Worship Leader  James Ludeman


James Ludeman has been leading worship at Gulf Coast Family since June of 2017. He is married to his best friend, Tori, and is a father to two great kids, Brilynn and Seth. James is enrolled at Northwest Nazarene University working towards his calling to one day become a pastor. 

James enjoys fishing, music, and watching Star Wars! While he is goofy, interesting, and a bit of a ham, James is also seriously passionate about Jesus and his people.
